Road Recovery Bond Program - 22nd Street Repaving Project

Crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin a repaving project on 22nd Street from Houghton Road to about one-half mile east of Houghton Road.  The project will begin with the lowering of manhole covers and water valve covers tomorrow, Friday, June 8, 2018.

On Monday, June 11, 2018 crews will begin removing the existing asphalt and repaving with new asphalt. This work is scheduled to be complete on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Work hours will be 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Following the repaving, crews will raise the manhole covers and water valve covers level with the new asphalt. This work will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.

The above schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Residential access will be maintained at all times during the project. The traveling public can expect delays when driving in the work areas.  Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas.
