Road Recovery - Resurfacing Projects

STONE AVENUE - PRINCE ROAD TO ROGER ROAD 

On Monday, October 20, 2014, crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin work to improve pavement conditions on Campbell Avenue from Prince Road south to Lind Road. Crews will begin the project by lowering manhole covers and water valve covers. Work hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Crews will return to this section of Campbell Avenue on Sunday, October 26, 2014 to begin milling (removing asphalt) and paving operations, and are scheduled to be complete on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Work hours for the milling and paving work will be 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, crews will begin lowering manhole covers and water valve covers on Prince Road from Oracle Road to Stone Avenue, and on Stone Avenue from Prince Road to Roger Road. The utility lowering work, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be complete by Friday, October 24, 2014. 

On Monday, October 27, 2014 crews will begin milling and paving the above sections of Prince Road and Stone Avenue. This work will take place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is scheduled to be complete by Thursday, October 30, 2014.

These pavement improvement projects are part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program - Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.

Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during the project, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway.  At least one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained during this work. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
