TRAFFIC ALERT

CYCLOVIA TUCSON CLOSURES
LOST BARRIO - HIMMEL PARK

On Sunday, April 16, 2023, beginning at 7 a.m., the following streets will close to vehicular travel for Cyclovia Tucson.

• Park Avenue, south of 12^th Street to 14^th Street
• E 14^th Street, from S Park Avenue to S Highland Avenue
• Highland Avenue, from E 14^th Street to E Ninth Street
• Ninth Street, from Highland Avenue to Wilson Avenue
• Wilson Avenue, from Ninth Street to E Third Street
• Third Street from Wilson Avenue to Treat Avenue
• Treat Avenue, from E Third Street to E First Street

The following car crossings are identified on the map with a green stripe. These intersections will be open to all travel during the event.

• E Broadway Boulevard and S Highland Avenue
• E Ninth Street and N Campbell Avenue
• E Sixth Street and N Wilson Avenue
• E Third Street and N Tucson Boulevard

All streets are scheduled to reopen by 4 p.m. the same day.

Motorists can expect delays associated with this event so please plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling, or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.

Cyclovia Tucson will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the Lost Barrio – Himmel Park Route through the Miles, San Antonio, Rincon Heights and Sam Hughes neighborhoods. Cyclovia temporarily repurposes approximately three miles of public streets for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, roll, or skate along the car-free route. The event brings people together to enjoy neighborhoods, participate in free activities, support local businesses, and connect with one another. Cyclovia is made possible with support from Living Streets Alliance, Banner University Medicine, Pima County Environmental Quality, City of Tucson and Cigna Healthcare.
