TRAFFIC ALERT

DOWNTOWN ROAD CLOSURES
ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE AND DOWNTOWN EVENTS

On Saturday, March 12, 2022, several road closures will be in place for multiple events taking place in the Downtown area.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival – From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the following streets will be closed to motorists for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival:

  • Sixth Avenue from 12th Street to 18th Street
  • Stone Avenue from Broadway to 18th Street
  • Scott Avenue at Broadway
  • Ochoa Street from Stone Avenue to Scott Avenue
  • 12th Street from Scott Avenue to Sixth Avenue­
  • 14th Street, 15th Street, 16th Street and 17th Street from Sixth Avenue to Fifth Avenue

Additional side street closures include 12th Street and 13th Street from Sixth Avenue to Fifth Avenue, next to Armory Park. These streets are scheduled to reopen by 6 p.m. on Saturday. For more information, visit https://www.tucsonstpatricksday.com.

Tucson Gran Fondo – From 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Scott Avenue between Congress Street and Broadway will close to vehicular travel for the Tucson Gran Fondo. For more information, visit https://www.1055brewing.com/gran-fondo.

Arizona Theatre Company Gala – Beginning at 12 p.m., Scott Avenue between McCormick Street and 14th Street will close to vehicular travel for the Arizona Theatre Company Gala. Scott Avenue is scheduled to reopen by 12 a.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit https://arizonatheatre.org/gala.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early in order to avoid traffic detours necessary for the parade and events. Please note that pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained in and around road closures.

Motorists can expect delays associated with this event so please plan accordingly.  The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.

DÍA DE SAN PATRICIO DESFILE Y EVENTOS EN EL CENTRO

El sábado 12 de marzo de 2022, se realizarán varios cierres de carreteras para múltiples eventos que se llevarán a cabo en el área del Centro.

Día de San Patricio Desfile y Festival – de 8 a.m. a 1 p.m., las siguientes calles estarán cerradas a los automovilistas para el Desfile y Festival del Día de San Patricio:

  • 6th Avenue desde 12th Street hasta la 18th Street
  • Stone Avenue desde Broadway hasta 18th Street
  • Scott Avenue en Broadway
  • Ochoa Street desde Stone Avenue hasta Scott Avenue
  • 12th Street desde Scott Avenue hasta 6th Avenue­
