Travel lane restrictions will be in place on Euclid Avenue and on Stone Avenue for the next two weeks to allow for crews to install new curb along Euclid Avenue south of Grant Road and on Stone Avenue south of Grant Road, as part of the Grant Road Improvement Project from Stone Avenue to Park Avenue.
On Monday, November 6, 2017 through Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, northbound Euclid Avenue, south of Grant Road will be reduced to one travel lane.
On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 through Monday, November 13, 2017 (excluding the weekend), from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, northbound Stone Avenue, south of Grant Road will be reduced to one travel lane.
On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 through Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, southbound Stone Avenue, south of Grant Road will be reduced to one travel lane.
The speed limit in the construction zone has been reduced to 25 mph and motorists can expect delays while traveling through the work zone. Please be cautious of equipment and construction personnel in the work areas. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Work to widen Grant Road from Stone Avenue to Park Avenue began in March. The improvements include six vehicular travel lanes, protected bike/pedestrian street crossings, drainage improvements, indirect left turns at Stone Avenue and First Avenue, bike lanes and sidewalks, bus pullouts and bus shelters, and public art. The project is part of the $2.1 billion Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Plan, which will be implemented through 2026.
