The three-month-long streetscape project to improve Scott Avenue between Pennington Street and Congress Street downtown is nearing completion as crews are scheduled to mill (remove asphalt) the existing roadway, reconstruct the subgrade and repave Scott Avenue.
On Friday, November 3, 2017 at about 10 p.m., Scott Avenue will be closed to travel from Pennington Street to Congress Street. Repaving the roadway is scheduled to be complete by 5 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017.
The Pennington Street Garage will be closed for the weekend paving beginning Friday, November 3 at around 10 p.m. until the roadway reopens on Monday. No vehicles will be allowed to enter the garage after 8 p.m. on Friday, but vehicles already parked in the garage will be allowed to leave by 10 p.m.
To replace the parking capacity at the Pennington Street Garage, the Library Garage at 45 W. Alameda Street will be open 24 hours beginning on the morning of Friday, November 3, through the weekend.
