Traffic Control Change - Tanque Verde Road, Wilmot Road, Pima Street

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Clear Contracting, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will power down the electrical system feeding the traffic signals at the Tanque Verde Road, Wilmot Road, Pima Street intersection. Crews will then install new traffic signals as part of the improvement project.

Work hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this work, officers from the Tucson Police Department will be stationed at the intersection to help direct traffic until the traffic signals are reactivated.

The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling or walking in this work area.  Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.

This is a project of the Regional Transportation Authority.  The voter-approved, $2.1 billion RTA plan will be implemented through 2026.  The multimodal plan, nearly halfway through implementation, includes roadway, safety, transit, environmental and economic vitality improvements.
