On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Tucson Boulevard south of Broadway is scheduled to close to all travel beginning at 6 a.m. This closure is scheduled to be in place through Saturday, February 26, at 6 p.m. and will allow the contractor to pave this section of roadway as part of the Broadway Improvement Project from Euclid Avenue to Country Club Road
During this closure, eastbound and westbound Broadway will not be affected. Motorists traveling northbound on Tucson Boulevard will be detoured to Manchester Street/Stratford Drive to access eastbound Broadway. Motorists traveling southbound on Tucson Boulevard will need to turn either west or east onto Broadway and will also be able to detour onto Manchester Street/Stratford Drive to access Tucson Boulevard south of the Broadway intersection.
Electronic message boards are in place to notify the traveling public of this closure. This schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
The Regional Transportation Authority, a political subdivision of the state and independently governed, has invested more than $1.2 billion in transportation projects and services to improve mobility, safety, economic vitality and quality of life in the region. The RTA collects a half-cent excise (sales) tax from its special taxing district within Pima County to fund its 20-year regional transportation plan. The plan and tax were approved by voters in May 2006. The Broadway - Euclid Avenue to Country Club Road project is part of the RTA plan and is managed by the City of Tucson. CIERRE DE TUCSON BOULEVARD AL SUR DE BROADWAY
El jueves 24 de febrero de 2022, Tucson Boulevard al sur de Broadway está programado para cerrar a todos los viajes en vehículo a partir de las 6 a.m. Este cierre está programado hasta el sábado 26 de febrero a las 6 p.m. Este cierre permitirá que el contratista pavimente esta sección de la carretera como parte del Proyecto de Mejoramiento de Broadway desde Euclid Avenue hasta Country Club Road.
Durante este cierre, Broadway en dirección este y oeste no se verá afectada. Los automovilistas que viajen hacia el norte por Tucson Boulevard serán desviados hacia Manchester Street/Stratford Drive para acceder a Broadway hacia el este. Los automovilistas que viajan hacia el sur por Tucson Boulevard deberán girar hacia el oeste o el este hacia Broadway y también podrán desviarse hacia Manchester Street/Stratford Drive para acceder a Tucson Boulevard al sur de la intersección de Broadway.
