Traffic Signal Improvements - Broadway and Swan Road

TRAFFIC ALERT

TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

BROADWAY AND SWAN ROAD INTERSECTION

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to remove and replace the traffic signal heads onto the newly installed poles, as well as convert the traffic signals to include flashing yellow arrows, at the Broadway and Swan Road intersection.

18th St, Eighth Ave and Campbell Ave, Pinal Vista Bicycle Blvd - Virtual Town Hall

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is planning neighborhood traffic safety and pedestrian and bicycle improvements to Eighteenth Street, Eighth Avenue, S Campbell Avenue, and Pinal Vista. These projects are part of the voter-approved Proposition 407 Tucson Delivers Strong Connections Program that will calm traffic on neighborhood streets and expand the citywide low-stress biking and walking network.

Traffic Alert - Traffic Signal Work Broadway/Prudence & Broadway/Swan

 

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to replace traffic signal poles and mast arms, as well as convert the traffic signals to include flashing yellow arrows for eastbound and westbound travel at the Broadway and Prudence Road intersection.

Work at the intersection will take place from about 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., the same day.

Traffic Signal Work - Park Ave and Valencia Rd

 

Crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to rewire the traffic signals at the Park Avenue and Valencia Road intersection on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

The work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., the same day. The traffic signals at the intersection will not be in operation during this work. Officers will direct travel through the intersection until the work is complete.

Broadway - Euclid Ave to Country Club Rd Improvement Project - Road Closure

For the safety of the traveling public and to facilitate the installation of an underground 48-inch diameter storm drain on the north side of Broadway, Country Club Road, just north of Broadway will be closed to through travel from about 7 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 until about 6 a.m. on Monday, April 12.

Eastbound and westbound travel on Broadway will not be affected by this closure.

Broadway - Euclid Ave to Country Club Rd Improvement Project - Country Club Closure

For the safety of the traveling public and to facilitate the installation of an underground 48-inch diameter storm drain on the north side of Broadway, Country Club Road, just north of Broadway will be closed to through travel from about 4 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 until about 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 28.

Eastbound and westbound travel on Broadway will not be affected by this closure.

Downtown Links - Sixth Street Closure

Downtown Links Constructors (DLC), under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility have begun work on the Downtown Links project.

Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians should anticipate intermittent lane restrictions throughout the limits of the project in addition to the following upcoming work (See Map):

Traffic Signal Work - I-10 and Sixth Avenue

 

Crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to rewire the traffic signals at the intersections north and south of Interstate 10 at Sixth Avenue and Benson Highway on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

The work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., the same day. The traffic signals at the intersections will not be in operation during this work. Officers will direct travel through the intersections until the work is complete.

Tucson Transportation Talks Virtual Summit

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is excited to announce its first annual Tucson Transportation Talks (TTT), a free virtual conference on March 3 and 4, 2021. This year’s theme is, “Are we there yet?” as is often said on a long journey. Participants will explore how far Tucson has come and how far it must go to build a balanced transportation network across the city that allows all people to comfortably and safely navigate the public spaces in our community.

Move Tucson Virtual Open House

 

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is excited to announce a self-guided informational virtual tour of Move Tucson Phase 2. Between March and August 2020, Tucsonans shared their vision for the city’s mobility future. Over 4,500 people participated in the online survey from all areas of the city. The Virtual Open House shares what we've learned from the public about Tucson's mobility priorities and provides an overview of the current state of our transportation system.
