The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is planning new street improvements that will provide complete and connected sidewalks on both sides of Roger Road from Oracle Road to Romero Road, enhanced street crossings, street lighting, and landscaping for shade. The Roger Road Pedestrian Safety and Walkability project is a part of the voter-approved Proposition 407 Tucson Delivers Strong Connections Program that will expand the citywide low-stress biking and walking network.
Treat Avenue Bicycle Boulevard Virtual Town Hall

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is planning new street improvements to Treat Avenue from the Rillito River to the Aviation Bikeway for a total of six miles, connecting to five parks, three greenways, and six schools. The Treat Avenue Bicycle Boulevard is part of the voter-approved Proposition 407 Tucson Delivers Strong Connections Program that will expand the citywide low-stress biking and walking network.

Five Points Intersection Closure

Granite Construction, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), is scheduled to install five overhead arches at the intersection of Sixth Avenue, 18th Street and Stone Avenue, in association with the Five Points Art Enhancement Project.

Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians should anticipate intermittent lane restrictions throughout the limits of the project in addition to the following upcoming work:
On Friday, October 23, the intersection of Fifth Street and Echols Avenue will be closed. The temporary closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately four-weeks while a new sewer manhole is installed.
Houghton Road - Valencia Road to Mary Ann Cleveland Way - Traffic Shift

Temporary asphalt paving on the east side of Houghton Road from Valencia Road to Mary Ann Cleveland Way is complete. Crews from Borderland Construction, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to shift traffic from the west side of Houghton Road to the east side of the roadway at about 7 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020.
Traffic Signal Work - Pima Street/Dodge Boulevard

Crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to rewire the traffic signals at the Pima Street and Dodge Boulevard intersection on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
The work is scheduled to take place between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. The traffic signals at the intersection will not be in operation during this work. Officers will direct travel through the intersection until the work is complete.
