Public Events at Cyclovia Tucson

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility (DTM) is seeking public input on two scheduled transportation projects: The Church Avenue Complete Street Project and the 18th Street, 8th Avenue, and S. Campbell/Pinal Bicycle Boulevards. DTM staff invite the public to review preliminary design plans for each project, ask questions, share concerns, and provide the project design teams with suggestions.
Join DTM staff at Cyclovia Tucson to learn more and give input on the projects.

The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) launches Tucson Norte-Sur: Investing in Resilient Communities + Transit, the equitable Transit-Oriented Development (eTOD) strategic planning project for a north-south corridor extending from the Tucson Mall/Tohono Tadai Transit Center to the north to Tucson International Airport to the south. The 15-mile corridor, includes Oracle Road on the north side of downtown and South Sixth Avenue on the south side of downtown.

Crews from VSS International, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are continuing crack seal work on various roadway segments throughout the City. The roadway improvements are associated with the voter-approved Prop 101 Tucson Delivers Better Streets Program.
During the two-month-long crack seal roadway improvement project, work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The dates and locations where the improvements will take place in these next two weeks of the program are:

22ND STREET AND CRAYCROFT ROAD INTERSECTION
On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, and Thursday, March 10, 2022, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to convert the traffic signal heads to include flashing yellow arrows at the 22nd Street and Craycroft Road intersection.

Tucson Bicycle Classic Road Closures

On Sunday, March 6, 2022, Greasewood Road from Speedway Boulevard to Anklam Road will close to vehicular travel for the 34th Annual Tucson Bicycle Classic. The closure is scheduled to begin at approximately 6 a.m.
Additionally, Speedway Boulevard will close to eastbound travel from Anklam Road to Greasewood Road. Anklam Road will close to westbound travel from Greasewood Road to Speedway Boulevard. Law enforcement officers will be on site to direct travel at the intersections. All streets are scheduled to reopen by 5 p.m. the same day.
Granada Avenue Northbound Closure

On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, around 5 a.m., Borderland Construction, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), is scheduled to close the northbound lane on Granada Avenue from Congress Street to St. Mary’s Road/Sixth Street. This closure is associated with the Proposition 101 - Tucson Delivers Better Streets roadway improvement project taking place on Main Avenue/Granada Avenue from Speedway Boulevard to Congress Street.

Cool Pavement Project - Country Club Road - Crack Seal

On Saturday, February 26, 2022, Choice Maintenance and Asphalt Services, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), is scheduled to crack seal Country Club Road from Broadway to Aviation Parkway as part of a cool pavement pilot project. This work is scheduled to take place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day and be completed by Sunday, February 27. Crews recently applied the PlusTi™ asphalt rejuvenator treatment in December 2021.
Tucson Boulevard Closure South of Broadway

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Tucson Boulevard south of Broadway is scheduled to close to all travel beginning at 6 a.m. This closure is scheduled to be in place through Saturday, February 26, at 6 p.m. and will allow the contractor to pave this section of roadway as part of the Broadway Improvement Project from Euclid Avenue to Country Club Road
