The City of Tucson, in partnership with Rio Nuevo, is planning a holistic redesign of Toole Avenue from Congress Street to Stone Avenue
The project runs through the heart of downtown Tucson’s Warehouse District, a collection of warehouses built mainly in the early 20th century for industrial uses. During the ’70s and ’80s, with industry moving to other parts of the city, the buildings were re-purposed as art studios, galleries, and more recently restaurants, breweries, and other commercial businesses.
The Toole Ave. Streetscape Plan will integrate with future projects like Ronstadt and Downtown Links while looking at the needs of current and future businesses.
The Toole Avenue Complete Streets Project meeting scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2020, has been rescheduled for a later date.
We will post updated information on a new meeting time and location as soon as details are set.
The City of Tucson is conducting a survey of what people would like to see with in the Streetscape Plan. Take the survey here
Survey results will be shared publicly. Check back for updates.
