22nd Street Pipeline Replacement Project Update

From Southwest Gas:

If business or residence is located near the Southwest Gas Pipeline Replacement Project on 22nd Street between Prudence and Sarnoff, we’d like to provide some current information regarding the project. E-updates such as this are used during construction to keep you informed of our progress. If you prefer not to receive these updates, please reply and let me know and I’ll gladly remove your address. I can assure you that your e-mail address will be used only for purposes of this project.

We will do our best to provide the most current information; however, please remember that construction schedules sometimes need to be adjusted due to weather, materials scheduling, utility coordination, or various other factors.

  • For additional project information, please contact our project hotline at 520.547.5383.
  • Traffic on 22nd Street is currently restricted with the westbound curb lane closed to accommodate pipeline installation in the north side of 22nd Street, between Vista Overlook and the Pantano Wash bridge. Crews continue work installing gas pipeline in an easterly direction from Vista Overlook toward Sarnoff Drive. It is anticipated that pipeline installation between Vista Overlook and the Pantano Wash bridge will be completed by the end of next week, and paving back of that area is tentatively scheduled to take place on Monday, March 30th.
  • Scheduled to begin the week of March 30th, crews will begin installing gas pipeline on the north side of 22nd Street east of the Pantano Wash bridge. This work will begin in 22nd Street on the east side of Pantano Road/Parkway, heading in an easterly direction toward Sarnoff Drive; with the westbound curb lane restricted to accommodate this work.
  • Access to businesses and residences will be maintained. Please drive with caution through the construction area and obey traffic signage as it is placed for the safety of nearby residents, travelers and contractor crews. Thank you for your patience during this work.
