The Arizona Symphonic Winds, established in 1986, is an all-volunteer community concert band performing a variety of music for all ages including overtures, light classics, marches, Broadway show tunes and popular music. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic basket and enjoy an evening of entertainment for the whole family. Shuttle service is available from the Big Lots shopping center – northwest corner of Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon Roads. All concerts are free to the public.
Arizona Symphonic Winds is led by music director and conductor László Veres. All concerts are at 7 pm at the László Veres Amphitheater at Udall Park.
September 8 ––“Guest: Catalina Foothills High School Falcon Marching Band” – Always an audience favorite the band will present musical selections from their half-time show in a pre-concert starting at 6:25PM
September 15 – “Sound of the Golden Flute” – Alexander Lipay, principal flutist with the Tucson Symphony returns to play the music of Mozart.
September 22 – “Guest: Clarinetist John de la Paz” John is making his debut performance with the Winds after performing in many parts of the world.
September 29– “Evening With Elena” Vocalist Elena Galbraich returns to the stage to sing music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and others.
