The Environmental and General Services Department (EGSD), along with representatives from Housing & Community Development, Tucson Police Department and the Tucson Fire Department will be hosting an open house in each of the City’s six wards to present information about services available to residents and neighborhoods that support a clean community.
EGSD will provide updated information about the Brush & Bulky+ program, Neighborhood cleanups, and Code Enforcement. There will also be information about the City’s Homeless Protocol, which brings together staff from multiple departments who are working to provide services to the unhoused population as well as addressing neighborhood concerns about encampments around the community.
There are two eastside meetings coming up. On February 15, there will be a meeting at 5:30 pm at 8155 E Poinciana Drive (you can join that one by Zoom at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87239731662). We will also be hosting one at the Ward 2 office on February 28 at 5:30 pm.

We have had an unusual Valentines Day tradition in Tucson: tours of the landfill at the Los Reales Sustainability Campus. It is back this year after a COVID-induced hiatus and is, for some people anyway, a good way to spend time with the person you love.
The bad news is that this year’s Valentines Day tour is already fully booked.
As I said, it is popular.
The people at Environmental Services tell me that they are planning to open up for another public tour in April to coincide with Earth Day. I’ll keep you up to date.

The City of Tucson, in partnership with the Pima Association of Governments (PAG), is conducting a Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA) study for Sun Tran, Sun Link, Sun Express and Sun Shuttle. The COA will review existing options, access and equity to develop recommendations to implement within the current public transportation services throughout Tucson and the greater Tucson area. The goal of this analysis is to create a more equitable, effective and efficient transit network and we need your help to do that! Whether you ride or not, your feedback is very important to us
There are several ways you can connect with us. Join a virtual meeting or visit the online meeting website to learn more about the COA process, ask questions, and share your thoughts.
You can provide your comments anytime before March 2, by visiting www.tucsoncoa.com or by attending an online meeting on February 15 at 6 pm at hdrinc.zoom.us/j/92596896110
