Streetcar passengers can ride Sun Link for free all weekend on Saturday, November 10th and Sunday, November 11th, sponsored by the DUSK Music Festival, Holualoa Companies and Herbert Residential.
The DUSK Music Festival is an annual music and arts festival in Tucson. This year, DUSK Music Festival will be held at Armory Park in Downtown Tucson on November 10-11th. Holualoa Companies is a real estate investment firm with multiple properties in the downtown area. One of the properties downtown is Herbert Residential. Herbert Residential is a 144-unit contemporary residential-rental community featuring renovated interiors, unparalleled views, and a location that’s steps away from the Sun Link streetcar and other downtown amenities.
"We want to provide our fans a convenient way to get to and from the event, and thank all of Tucson for allowing us to host this exceptional event in Downtown Tucson," says Page Repp, Festival Director of the DUSK Music Festival. "It's going to be an incredible weekend and we are honored to partner with Herbert Residential and Holualoa Companies to help make the Sun Link streetcar a part of our festival experience.”
Anne Lawrence, Asset Manager for Holualoa Companies, states, "Providing free rides on the Sun Link for the whole weekend is our way of supporting the DUSK Music Festival, the Sun Link Streetcar and Downtown. The DUSK Music Festival energizes and supports downtown businesses. The festival enhances the urban experience for music lovers and the downtown community."
Repp of DUSK Music Festival adds, "We realized the importance of providing alternatives to driving and parking around the Armory Park neighborhood. Free rides on the streetcar will allow festival-goers to get within one block of the festival entrance on 6th Avenue, without congesting downtown streets. Each streetcar can hold nearly 150 passengers, and they run often, so that's a lot of cars that won't be on the road."
