Sun Tran and KGUN 9 News are partnering again this holiday season for the annual “Stuff-the-Bus” event benefitting the Salvation Army’s Christmas Gift Distribution Program. This year Sun Link will be a part of the annual event by stuffing a streetcar. Tucsonans are encouraged to donate new unwrapped toys for children ages 0-12; cash donations will also be accepted. This year’s event will be held from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, December 12, at the following locations:
- Wal-Mart, 7150 E. Speedway Blvd., southeast corner of Kolb and Speedway.
- Wal-Mart, 8280 N. Cortaro Rd., Arizona Pavilions Shopping Center.
- Sun Link stop on Helen Street and Warren Avenue View a route map.
“Thanks to the generosity and thoughtfulness of our riders and the community we are able to give back to local children during the holiday season,” said Kate Riley, General Manager for Sun Tran. “Sun Tran looks forward to being a part of this event each year and we encourage the public to come out and help the Salvation Army reach their goal to help the thousands of families in need.”
“Sun Link is happy to be a part of “Stuff-the-Bus" Toy Drive this year. It is an opportunity for the community to make a difference and help those less fortunate during the holiday season,” said Steve Bethel, General Manager for Sun Link Streetcar. “We hope that the additional Streetcar location will encourage more people to contribute.”
