United Way Looking for Income Tax Assistance Volunteers

The United Way's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) provides free tax preparation services to local individuals and families. Volunteers are needed to help low- and moderate-income Tucsonans get their taxes done, helping them save money on preparation fees and avoid predatory lending practices. Volunteers also greet clients and manage VITA tax preparation sites. No previous experience in preparing taxes is necessary. Orientations are scheduled for Nov. 29, Dec. 1, and Dec. 8. For questions, contact Rachel Cheeseman at rcheeseman@unitedwaytucson.org or visit https://www.unitedwaytucson.org/vita_orientation.
