TFD Transports Baby after baby submerged in bath

Tucson Fire paramedics transported a nine month old baby to a local hospital after the baby was left in a bathtub unsupervised. The baby was placed in the tub with the water running when the mother left the bathroom. It is unknown how long the mother was gone but the bathtub was overflowing when the mother returned and the baby was basically flailing in the water. The baby vomited several times as she was being assessed by TFD personnel. CPR was not performed on scene as the baby did have pulses but the baby was lethargic. Tucson city court to hold second warrant day

The Tucson City Court, City Prosecutor, and City Public Defender will hold a second “Warrant Day” on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. Individuals with warrants may come to the court starting at 8 a.m. and see a judge, on a walk-in basis, regarding their warrant until 4 p.m. The goal of Warrant Day is to resolve the warrant and possibly close cases in warrant status. The public is invited to attend a public open house for Kolb Road: Connection to Sabino Canyon Road. This project is part of the $2.1 billion, 20-year Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) plan that was approved by voters in May 2006.

Old Spanish Trail Reconstruction Project

On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, crews from Southern Arizona Paving, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin work to reconstruct Old Spanish Trail from Melpomene Way to Houghton Road.
Crews will begin the project with the lowering of manhole covers and water valve covers. Lowering the manhole and valve covers is scheduled to be complete by Thursday, November 12, 2015. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Learn your rights and responsibilities for Transaction Privilege (Sales) Taxation by attending a Tax and License Workshop sponsored by the City of Tucson Finance Department.
Questions will be answered and written materials will be available. Samples of sales tax records, worksheets, and monthly returns will be explained. Sample returns can be completed. It is recommended that you bring a calculator and a pencil.
