Brianda has been a resident of Ward 3 since 2012. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Geography. While working for five years in accounting, she volunteered for multiple programs in Seattle that promoted equity, arts, and education.
Her passion for community led her to join AmeriCorps and move to Tucson as a Volunteer In Service to America with the Arizona Refugee Resettlement Program and La Frontera Center. She worked primarily at Doolen Middle School, coordinating programs and services for refugee students as well as those in the English Language Development and Youth on Their Own programs. Brianda joined the Ward 3 office in March 2014.
