Coronado Heights & Balboa Heights Mini Grant Program
The Ward 3 Council Office and the City of Tucson believe that our city benefits when city services are meeting the needs of our residents. This happens most effectively, when residents can directly communicate their needs and work with city staff members to shape their vision for community improvement and resiliency.
This mini-grant opportunity is made available to Coronado Heights and Balboa Heights neighbors thanks to the Back-to-Basics program and the American Rescue Plan Act.

ELIGIBILITY
Individuals who live or work in Balboa Heights or Coronado Heights may apply. Proposals will be accepted between $500-$40,000. They may fund programmatic services or infrastructure improvements in Balboa Heights or Coronado Heights. Infrastructural projects are preferred and should be focused in public spaces and public right of way.
EVALUATION
Grant applicants will be evaluated on the following:
• The community need for the expenditure, as well as the number of people who will be served.
• The feasibility of the project.
• The impact to cost ratio and financial soundness of the proposal.
• The ability for the project to foster new community connections and/or strengthen existing connections and relationships among neighbors.
