Judith joined the Ward 3 staff in September 2012 to work with neighborhoods and grassroots issues. A Ward 3 resident, she has been active on the steering committee of her own neighborhood association (Doolen/Fruitvale) for 10 years and worked as a program manager and senior community organizer for PRO Neighborhoods from 2005 until its untimely dissolution in 2012.
Reared around the world as an Air Force brat, Judith took degrees in anthropology and archaeology at Columbia University before working for Margaret Mead, Jacques Cousteau, and the New York Times. She moved to Tucson in 1990. She lives with her big shelter dog named Mose, makes jewelry from vintage trade beads, and hangs out with others who have a passion for community.
