Food Donation Box in the Ward 3 Community Room

There is a food donation box in the Ward 3 Community Room. Donations can be dropped Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. The Community Food Bank welcomes donations of nonperishable items. 1 in 4 children in Arizona are at risk for hunger, and 1 in 5 adults. You can join the fight against hunger and donate nonperishable items to help feed kids, families and seniors. Non-perishable food in plastic, cardboard or cans works best for transporting. Glass can easily be broken. Thank you for making a difference for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona!

The Unified Community Advisory Board (UCAB) is seeking new board members

Unified Community Advisory Board (UCAB) invites you to the first quarterly meeting of 2018, regarding the Tucson International Airport Area EPA Superfund Site and Tucson’s commitment to providing clean and safe water to the community. The UCAB is a forum where stakeholders work together to resolve issues and participate in the cleanup process at the Tucson International Airport Area Superfund Site. Meetings are held quarterly on the third Wednesday of January, April, July and October. The meeting will be held Wednesday, January 17, at 5:45 pm, at the El Pueblo Neighborhood Center in the Activity Center, 101 West Irvington Road. The UCAB is seeking new board members. Those who are interested are encouraged to attend our next meeting. If you or a local group would like to get more involved and/or would like to have the EPA attend a meeting, give a presentation, answer questions, etc., please contact the Community Involvement Coordinator, Sarah Cafasso (415-972-3076). For more information or questions, please contact either of the current UCAB Co-Chairs: Yolanda Herrera (520-991-3307) or Mary Aycock (415-972-3289).
