Improvement Project Begins; Houghton Rd- Valencia to Mary Ann Cleveland Way

 

On Monday, September 21, 2020, Borderland Construction Co., under contract with The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) will begin the Houghton Road – Valencia Road to Mary Ann Cleveland Way Improvement Project. Crews will work Monday through Friday, from about 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. with occasional night and weekend work. This project is expected to be complete by January 2022.  

Dusty's Drive-In Event

The Tucson Roadrunners will distribute face coverings to fans in a drive-thru format at Lincoln Park near the William Clements Center (8155 E Poinciana Dr.). This event will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd from 5pm - 6:30pm.

Ward 4 Virtual Town Hall with TMC Rincon

Please join us at this Ward 4 Virtual Town Hall as we speak with TMC Rincon about the new expansion that will be happening in Ward 4. Having medical access is an important piece in community expansion.

This event will take place on Wednesday, September 30th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.  There are two ways to join us, either online, or by phone.  Time will be set aside for questions.

Senior Meal Program & Enhance Fitness

A partnership with Pima Council on Aging, Catholic Social Services, and Tucson Parks and Recreation will be offering senior meal pick up every Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m.- noon at both Freedom and William Clements Recreation Center in Ward 4.  If for some reason a senior can't pick up their meal, delivery can be made on those same days after 12:30 pm. Seniors will need to contact the center and leave a message.

Houghton Road Corridor

The Houghton Road Corridor, spanning 13 miles from Interstate 10 to Tanque Verde Road, is one of the corridor projects included in the 2006 voter-approved Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) plan.
