2015 Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta, October 1-4

The Fifth Annual Vamos a Tucson Mexican Baseball Fiesta presented by Cox takes place at a new venue – Hi Corbett Field from October 1 – 4. This year’s teams include four of the top teams from the Mexican Winter League – the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, Yaquis de Obregon, Cañeros de Los Mochis, Aguilas de Mexicali as well as some the best young players in baseball – the D-backs and Reds Future Stars. SS Dansby Swanson, the #1 pick in the 2015 June Draft, is on the travelling roster. Some other former MLB players include pitchers Alfredo Aceves and Edgar Gonzalez, and former Tucson Padres PCL batting champion, Dean Anna. The managers of the teams also have big league time: Delino DeShields (Hermosillo), Edgar Gonzalez (Adrian Gonzalez brother – Mexicali), Luis Sojo (Los Mochis), Dick Schofield (Reds Young Stars).

The Mexican Baseball Fiesta is a lot more than baseball. Its music all of the time, live bands following the second game every night, authentic Mexican food, mascots, discount beer on Thursday, kids free on Friday, a Family Day on Sunday and a lot more. Here is our promotional lineup:


Thursday, October 2   

First Game at 5:30          Game One:   Hermosillo vs. Reds Future Stars

Friday, October 3

Saturday, October 4

Band:           Honorables and Latigazzo Norteño are from Hermosillo, and Los Centenarios


Sunday, Sept. 21 

First Game at 2:00          Game One:            Obregon vs. Los Mochis

Game Two:  Hermosillo vs. Mexicali


Promo:        Vantage West Family Day – the entire family (up to 8) will get in for $10 with Vantage West voucher

Band:           Grupo Sensación, Grupo Arranque and La Gran Ciudad


Other bands performing over the four days include Tecnobanda, La Picosa, Tecnobanda del Sol, Tecnobanda La Cumbiera, and Tecnobanda Sin Límite.



MASCOTS: Two of the Mexican Winter League teams are bringing their mascots: Beto Coyote from the Naranjeros; Chacho from the Yaquis. They will be performing at all of their team’s home games.



Tickets: The prices are box seats $13, adult general admission $9, kids (6 – 16) & senior citizens general admission $6, kids under six are free. Fans will be able to purchase tickets at the three Pollo Feliz locations; at La Gran Bota; and Food City on 22nd St. and online at www.MexicanBaseballFiesta.com. The MBF box office at Kino Stadium will open at 10:00 Wednesday through Saturday, and noon on Sunday. Tickets can also be ordered by phone by calling 621-2965.
