Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, has issued a revised milling and paving schedule for two projects - Ajo Way from Country Club Road to 14th Avenue and Sixth Street from Country Club Road to Campbell Avenue.
The revised schedule is as follows:
Thursday, September 25 through Saturday, September 27 - 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Paving Sixth Street from Country Club Road to Campbell Avenue and temporary stripe roadway.
Sunday, September 28 through Friday, October 3 - 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. - Mill and pave Ajo Way from Bernard Drive to 14th Avenue.
Monday, September 29 through Friday, October 3 - 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Raise sewer manhole covers and water valve covers on Sixth Street from Country Club Road to Campbell Avenue.
These pavement improvement projects are part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program - Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during these projects, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work area. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
