I-10 on-ramp from Palo Verde Road in Tucson to close briefly Friday

The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the eastbound Interstate 10 on-ramp from southbound Palo Verde Road for two hours on Friday afternoon to pour concrete for an on-going sign rehabilitation project in the Tucson area.

The ramp leading from southbound Palo Verde onto eastbound I-10 will close at noon Friday, Sept. 26 and is scheduled to reopen to traffic at 2 p.m. the same day.

Motorists traveling on Palo Verde Road who wish to enter eastbound I-10 during this closure must use alternate on-ramps.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
