Town Hall Meeting - Nov. 21

Help Plan Tucson’s Future - Town Hall November 21

As part of an ongoing discussion regarding Tucson’s future, the City of Tucson is holding a series of town halls where the public can get information and have questions answered about a possible sales tax question that could go to City voters in May 2017.

The City’s proposal is tentatively for a ½-cent increase to City sales tax to fund needs for equipment and facilities for the Tucson Police and Fire Departments and to continue the Tucson Department of Transportation’s Road Recovery Program to repair major and neighborhood streets.

To ensure all Tucsonans have an opportunity to learn more and provide input, the Mayor and Council will be hosting town halls:

Ward 5 and Ward 1 will be co-hosting a town hall on Monday, November 21, 5:30 pm, at the El Pueblo Senior Center, 101 W. Irvington Road.
