The Pueblo Gardens Neighborhood Association will be hosting their 25th Annual Martin Luther King Breakfast Saturday, January 17, at the Holmes Tuttle Boys and Girls Club, located at 2585 East 36th Street in Ward 5.
Doors will open at 7:15 am and the breakfast begins at 8:00 am sharp.
I want to congratulate James Christopher of the Pueblo Gardens Neighborhood Association and his committee for their work organizing this breakfast for these 25 years. It is the only neighborhood association in Tucson to hold such an event.

Sign installation on I-10 in Tucson to bring restrictions next week
Motorists traveling on Interstate 10 in Tucson will encounter travel restrictions next week while the Arizona Department of Transportation continues a project to install new highway sign structures at numerous locations.
The Ward 5 Council Office will be closed Thursday, January 1, 2015 and Friday, January 2, 2015.

A major winter storm is forecast to push through Arizona and the Arizona Department of Transportation wants drivers traveling in the high country to be prepared.
$4,000 grant allows Pima Animal Care Center to host 3-day free adoption event
· Sun Tran Routes 1 through 99 will run on a Sunday schedule on New Year’s Day. Regular service resumes Friday, January 2.
· Sun Express Routes will not be in operation. Regular service resumes Friday, January 2.
Valve work on a water transmission main continues at 22nd Street at
Country Club Road.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., from Wednesday, December 17, through Friday,
December 19, eastbound 22nd St. just west of Country Club will have the
following traffic restrictions:
- eastbound left turn lane to northbound Country Club will be closed
- eastbound inside lane will be closed
Steel plates are temporarily installed to allow traffic in all lanes
during hours when work is not taking place. There is no interruption of
water service to customers.
