Wounded Warrior Congressional Fellowship Application Deadline Extended
TUCSON – Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva is proud to participate in The Wounded Warriors Program and offers the opportunity for a veteran to serve in his district Congressional office for two years. The application process now extends to Thursday, July 23rd. Full details are available below.
*Eastbound I-10 exit ramp at Rex Allen Drive in Willcox to close Monday for paving*
The eastbound Interstate 10 exit ramp at Rex Allen Drive in Willcox will be closed Monday, July 14 for paving operations.
Exit 340 on eastbound I-10 will close at 4 a.m. Monday and is scheduled to reopen at 5 p.m. the same day.
Eastbound motorists wishing to access Rex Allen Drive can take either Taylor Road (Exit 336) or Old Stewart Road (Exit 344).

SIXTH AVENUE UNDERPASS CLOSURE
On Tuesday, July 8, 2014 through Thursday, July 10, 2014 the Sixth Avenue Underpass downtown will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to allow crews from Graffiti Protective Coatings (GPC) to repaint the underpass.
Electronic message boards are in place to notify the traveling public of this closure. Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians will be prohibited from using the underpass during the work hours.
Councilmember Richard Fimbres and his staff want to wish everyone and their families a happy and safe Fourth of July. Also a reminder to keep your pets safe from potential Fourth of July activities.
Capacity improvements on I-19 southbound off ramp at Valencia Road start July 7
The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a project to improve the southbound Interstate 19 exit ramp at Valencia Road following the July 4 holiday weekend.

The 4th of July holiday will be observed on Friday, July 4, 2014. Residential and commercial trash and recycling will not be collected on Friday. All City of Tucson residential and commercial customers with regular Friday service will have their trash and recycling service collected on Saturday, July 5, 2014. The Los Reales Landfill and the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed.

Paving on I-10 frontage road and Ruthrauff Road
The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the eastbound I-10 frontage road and the eastbound I-10 entrance ramp at Ruthrauff Road from 9 p.m. Saturday, June 28, to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 29 for paving operations.
