Work on a water service line for businesses along 6th Ave., from Congress St. to Pennington St., has been extended to July 7, from the original date of June 30.
The first phase of work is occurring at night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and will be completed on or about Wednesday, June 28. Following that, the repaving process on 6th Ave. will begin during daylight hours and is expected to be finished by Friday, July 7.
The work is being performed by Tricon Contracting . No customers will be without water service during this project and all have been notified.
Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are asked to use additional caution and be prepared for delays and detours when traveling on 6th Ave., along the west side of the Ronstadt Transit Center. No complete road closures are planned, but there will be lane restrictions and no parking on the west side of 6th Ave.
