Project Update

Groves Park is an 11.9-acre neighborhood park located at 7400 E. Juniper Dr., Tucson, AZ 85730 In Ward 4. The park includes benches, disc golf, a multi-purpose field, and a playground. Tucson Parks and Recreation has $232,425 from the Tucson Delivers Proposition 407 bond program to fund improvements in Phase 3 (2026–2028). TEP is funding additional trees, irrigation, and one ramada. TEP provided funding for these improvements to help mitigate the impacts of a nearby power line project, the Irvington-East Loop 138 kilovolt Transmission Line.

Community feedback was collected through a survey conducted in fall 2025. Based on the input received, the project will move forward with the installation of post-and-cable fencing, a pathway, and a restroom facility. The specific path material will be determined once cost estimates are finalized and aligned with the project budget. TEP-funded improvements will also be incorporated into the project. The next phase of the project will involve selecting a landscape architecture firm to begin the design process.
