Tucson Norte-Sur is a plan that will work with Tucson communities to identify opportunities for equitable reinvestment and access along a future 15-mile long North-South High Capacity Transit (HCT) corridor connecting the Tucson Mall on the northside to downtown Tucson and to the Tucson Airport on the southside.

 

FARES

Transit fares are currently waived as the effort to protect the health and safety of the community continues throughout the city.  

SAFETY AND SECURITY

On December 16, 2025, Mayor and Council adopted the Transit Safety and Security Plan(PDF, 1MB)

Transit Facilities Cleaning Protocols

Sun Tran, Sun Van, and Sun Link are committed to maintaining a clean and safe transit environment for our riders and employees whether at a bus stop or at one of our three Transit Centers, we have implemented the following enhanced cleaning and sanitation practices:

  • Nightly disinfection of all high-touch surfaces, including handrails, grab bars, poles, and pull cords, using industrial-grade disinfectants.
  • Providing hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to all operators so they can clean their work areas throughout their shifts.
  • Bus stops and transit centers receive daily cleaning and upkeep, helping create a cleaner, more welcoming experience. Some stops may need extra care due to weather, heavy use or debris.
