TPD Investigative Divisions

The Investigative Services Bureau investigates primarily felony crimes. In addition, ISB has oversight of evidence – both analysis and storage. Each Patrol Division also has a Neighborhood Crimes Section that investigates crimes such as burglary, shoplifting, and theft.

Adult Sexual Assault Unit

Provides information to adult victims of sexual assault on community resources, their options for care and for reporting to police, and what to expect from each.

Child Physical Abuse and Child Sexual Assault Units

Provides information on how to spot and report suspected child abuse.

Crime Laboratory

Information on TPD's Crime Laboratory and careers in forensics.

Financial Crimes

Provides resources for reporting various financial crimes, such as embezzlement, fraud, identity theft, and stolen or fake checks or credit cards, as well as consumer protection information and resources for vulnerable adults.

Property & Evidence Section

Provides information on retrieving property that was lost, stolen, or held as evidence from TPD.
