Thanks to 407 Bond Funding, Ochoa Park has a new ramada to provide cooling shade for birthday parties, family picnics, and more! To complement the improvements, Parks and Recreation also installed new park signage, two new picnic tables, and new trees and shrubs. Lighting updates are underway and will be completed in fall 2026.
In November 2024, the community selected the "Artistic Arch" for the ramada.
Parks and Recreation used the survey results to guide the development of construction documents for the new ramada and landscape and lighting improvements. Construction will commence the week of April 20, 2026 and is anticipated to run through early Summer 2026.
