Beat the Heat: Summer Construction Hours in Effect

If you're planning a construction project this summer, you may notice crews starting work earlier in the day. To help protect workers from extreme heat, Arizona allows construction activities to begin as early as 5 a.m. on weekdays between May 1 and Oct. 15.

Whether you're building a new home, adding a pool, or managing a commercial project, these adjusted hours help contractors work more safely while keeping projects on schedule. Residents living near construction sites may hear activity earlier than usual during the summer months.
