Arizona law requires all children under 8 years of age or under 4' 9” tall to be properly secured in a child safety seat.

  1. Use the right car seat.
    Your baby needs to ride in a rear-facing car seat for as long as possible. Once they've outgrown that seat, they are ready for a forward-facing car seat. Here are more details about choosing the right car seat for your child.
  2. Install your car seat.
    You’ll need to decide on using either the seat belt or lower anchors to secure your car seat. Both are safe, but don’t use them both at the same time.   3. Fit the harness.

  4. When to change your car seat.

  5. Always check the back seat.
    Avoid tragedy and make sure there's no sleeping child in back before locking and leaving your vehicle.
