Tucson-Pima County Joint Code Committee

The Tucson-Pima County Joint Code Committee (TPCJCC) is a consolidation of the Building, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Code Committees. TPCJCC reviews and makes recommendations regarding amendments to: Building Code, Residential Code, Existing Building Code, Electrical Code, Energy Conservation Code, Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, Swimming Pool & Spa Code, and any code that may be adopted by the City of Tucson in the future and made the purview of the Committee by separate ordinance. The Committee shall also serve as a standing committee between code reviews.

City of Tucson 2024 Building Code Amendments

The implementation date for the 2024 Building Codes is January 1, 2026. All permit applications submitted after the implementation date must conform to the 2024 edition of the building codes as amended.

The committee voted to perform future meetings in a hybrid format through 2025.
