Gray water is water from clothes washers, bathtubs, showers, and bathroom sinks. Tucson Water single-family residential customers may be eligible for a gray water harvesting rebate. Installation address must have active Tucson Water service prior to purchasing and installing the system.
Receive reimbursement for 50% of qualifying costs up to $1,000 for installing a permanent gray water irrigation system.
Federal and State law requires that water suppliers protect their water systems from contamination. Use of an irrigation system that is pressurized with any kind of pump must have a Reduced Pressure Assembly (RPA) for backflow prevention installed at the service address to protect the public water system from potential contamination. Call the Backflow Prevention and Reclaimed Water Section for more information at 520-791-2650.
