Firefighter Samuel M. McAnally

Last Alarm July 14, 1987

After 18 years of service, Firefighter McAnally died of a ruptured aneurysm while on duty. After graduating from Amphi High School in 1969, Sam attended the Tucson Fire Department recruit academy and was selected as the top recruit at graduation. Firefighter McAnally spent his entire career in the field, performing the role of firefighter and providing guidance and direction to many less experienced firefighters.
