Site: New Venue for 2026.
All Draws will be played at the Reffkin Tennis Center: 50 S Alvernon Way
Please check in at least 30 minutes before your match time.

Schedule: Each event’s schedule is dependent on number of participants. Draws and match times will be posted online at Tucsonaz.gov/seniorolympicfestival by Friday, Jan. 4, 2024.

Fees: $10/singles or $20/doubles

Format:

  • Depending on the number of participants who register for the event, the Event Coordinator will adjust or combine age divisions to best accommodate those registered for the event and the playing schedules.
  • There will be no age averaging in doubles – doubles teams will compete in the age group of the youngest player.
  • The format of matches will be - 2 out of 3 sets, match tie break in lieu of the third set (first one to 10 points, win by 2 points). In the event of larger draws or time constraints, an 8-game pro set will be played instead.
  • Draws will include consolation match play – providing at least 2 rounds for all participants.
  • U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) rules apply.

Entry Regulations:

  • Men and women compete separately (except for Coed doubles)
  • Competition will be grouped by USTA standards of Senior (50-59yrs.) Super Senior (60-69yrs.) & Ultra Senior (70yrs+)
  • Participants must include partners on Doubles Registration Form.

Men’s Singles 60+ features Brad Avery, Jay Owens, Mike Weisberger, Dan Hopkins, and Allan Pressel. Matches are played at 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1 PM, and 2:30 PM, leading to 1st Place and 3rd Place matches.
Men’s Singles 70+ includes Steve Clark, Christopher Arundell, Richard Michael Harper, and Dale Nelson. Matches take place at 10 AM and 11:30 AM, advancing to 1st Place and 3rd Place matches.

Women’s Doubles 55+ includes Marnie Binney & Tracy Perrelle, Anita Froehlich & Felicia Froelich, Hope Bustos-Keyes & Alice Howard, and Elaine Overland & Cindy Overland. Matches are scheduled at 10 AM and 11:30 PM, with 1st Place and 3rd Place matches.
Men’s Doubles 60+ features Dan Hopkins & Leo Lapane, Tim Walter & Mario Pekas, Glenn Morse & Gordon Strang, and Jeffrey Miller & Jeffery Harry. Matches are played at 10 AM and 11:30 AM, leading to 1st Place and 3rd Place matches.
Men’s Doubles 70+ includes Hal Holkamp & Ron Derby, Phil Parks & Chris Petford, Gary Rowell & Jim Abrahamson, Peter Packard & Tom Romance, and Stephen Hunt & Richard Sharp. Matches occur at 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1 PM, and 2:30 PM, advancing to 1st Place and 3rd Place matches.

Coed Doubles 70+ includes Peter Packard & Mei Hand, Jim Abrahamson & Debbie McGeehan, Hope Bustos-Keyes & Mario Pekas, and Alice Howard & Steve Hunt. Matches take place at 10 AM and 11:30 AM, leading to 1st Place and 3rd Place matches.
