Temporary Closure

Join Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, Ward 3 Council Member Kevin Dahl, and Tucson Parks and Recreation for the groundbreaking of improvements to Jacobs Park and Nicolas P. Ochoa Soccer Complex on Friday, May 9, at 10 a.m.
Full park closure beginning mid-May. Construction is expected to finish in fall 2025 for the soccer complex and summer 2026 for Jacobs Park.

Jacobs Park Dog Park

1195 W. Kleindale Rd.
Hours: 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
Closed Thursdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for maintenance.

This small off-leash area is located on the west side of Jacobs Park and is accessible by car from W. Kleindale Road.

In response to requests from patrons, there is no smoking allowed in the dog park.

Robert Jacobs

Jacobs Park is named for Robert Jacobs, a junior high teacher in the Amphitheater School District, who died in a tragic airplane accident near Coolidge, Arizona, on May 6, 1971.

Nicolas P. Ochoa

The Nicolas P. Ochoa Soccer Complex is named for Nick Ochoa, a Flowing Wells sophomore and soccer player who was killed in an automobile accident on October 21, 1995.
