This park is currently closed. Construction is expected to finish in fall of 2025 for the soccer complex and the summer of 2026 for Jacobs Park.

With funding from Proposition 407 and the Land and Water Conservation Fund Outdoor Recreation Legacy Program, the new skate park identified in the Jacobs Park Master Plan will join the list of improvements currently under construction at Jacobs Park (3300 N Fairview Avenue). This skate park will go on an existing basketball court north of the YMCA. The City has received four designs for skate parks. Below are the results from the survey to select the design. For technical reasons, we are unable to move forward with design #4, and we will be moving forward with the second most popular, design #3.

This small off-leash area is located on the west side of Jacobs Park and is accessible by car from W. Kleindale Road.
Jacobs Park is named for Robert Jacobs, a junior high teacher in the Amphitheater School District, who died in a tragic airplane accident near Coolidge, Arizona, on May 6, 1971.
The Nicolas P. Ochoa Soccer Complex is named for Nick Ochoa, a Flowing Wells sophomore and soccer player who was killed in an automobile accident on October 21, 1995.
Little League Field #5 is named after Elmer Dressens.
