Under Construction
Tucson Parks and Recreation has begun construction on the park. During this time, the park will remain closed to the public. Projects include new and upgraded LED lighting on existing fields, converting the existing tennis court into a basketball court and replacing the existing basketball court with 3 pickleball courts, and renovating the irrigation system. Projects will also include additional trees and turf reduction. These projects are in addition to a renovation of the pool plaster, tile, and dive pools completed in phase one of the Tucson Delivers Prop 407 bond. The dog park will be the only amenity to remain open during construction (subject to intermittent closures) accessible from Jessica Street. These improvements are made possible through Tucson Delivers, 2018 voter-approved Proposition 407 bond funds of over $2.5M, Impact Fees, and Ward 2 funds. Estimated completion of construction is summer 2025.
Palo Verde Dog Park

Hours: 6 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
Separate Large and Small Dog Areas: Yes
This is a 38,000 square foot area with decomposed granite surface; no turf.
Features: Small and large dog fenced and lighted areas, picnic tables, trash cans, double-entry gates for each side, dog-friendly drinking fountains, scooper dispensers.
In response to requests from patrons, there is no smoking allowed in the dog park.
