PDSD Project Management – Major Project City Support

The Planning and Development Services (PDSD) Project Manager Program works in collaboration with development stakeholders as a resource for large and complex development projects. The City Project Manager assists project development from early design concept through final inspection. The project manager is the single point of contact between the development team and the City's permit review and inspection staff. They are committed to helping customers navigate the City's permitting and construction process.

The Project Manager works on complex and high-profile development projects, including:

  • Community Corridors Tool (CCT) projects
  • Affordable Housing projects
  • New construction in the Downtown Area (RNA or IID)
  • City Economic Development Projects
  • Development associated with major Rezonings and Planned Area Developments (PADs)

The Planning and Development Services Project Manager will:

  • Facilitates project delivery with TDC departments (Tucson Water, TFD, DTM, PDSD) working in partnership with the development team to ensure timely and effective communication with City staff.
  • Develops project-specific target timelines, as needed, in partnership with the private development team and City reviewers, working to avoid breakdowns or gaps in critical path timelines. The goal is to keep the review on track and completed on time.
  • Provides procedural expertise and stakeholder communication throughout the development process.
