Plan Tucson Update Phase I Community Engagement Summary Available

Take a moment to review the Plan Tucson Update Phase One Community Engagement Summary to learn more about Tucson residents' vision for our future. The report summarizes input from community members about their priorities and values. This information will be used in Phase II of the Plan Tucson Update to update the general plan goals and policies.

During Phase I of Plan Tucson Update engagement, community members were asked to respond to the following questions:

  • What do you like about Tucson?
  • What are you concerned about Tucson?
  • What ideas/changes do you have?

Responses are categorized into five topical categories: Economic Vitality; Community Resources; Water, Climate Action and Green Space; Land Use, Housing, Neighborhoods, Design; and Transportation, Mobility, Access.

Community members shared comments such as:

“I love the opportunities in Tucson - the quality and diversity of the food - the outdoor possibilities - the art scene - the vibrant downtown and 4th Avenue communities. I love the multilingual nature of the community, the history, the culture.” – Online Survey Respondent

A broad cross-section of Tucson community members shared their ideas, aspirations and concerns in Phase One of the Plan Tucson Update. Thank you to all who participated in events, workshops and online engagement.
