Multifamily High-efficiency Toilet Rebate

Tucson Water multifamily customers that have a property built prior to 2011 may be eligible for a high-efficiency toilet rebate. Installation address must have active Tucson Water service prior to purchasing and installing the products.

Multifamily customers must fill out a pre-screening form prior to applying for the rebate. Once the form is filled out, the customer will be notified via email of approval along with the information to apply.

Rebate Details and Requirements

  • Receive a $100 rebate per MaP (maximum performance) Premium High-efficiency Toilet purchased.
  • Must purchase product from MaP Premium qualifying product list. 
  • Gallons per flush of the toilet must not exceed 1.28 gallons per flush, including dual flush model toilets.
  • Old toilet replaced must use more than 1.1 gallons per flush.
  • Rebate application must be submitted no later than 1 year after the purchase of the product.
  • Purchased product must be new and more than rebate amount.
  • Fixtures replaces as part of a general construction permit, such as for structural change or alteration, do not qualify for the rebate. 
  • Applicants must submit a W-9 form for rebates paid by check from the City of Tucson. Per IRS requirements, individuals and/or entities receiving funds of $600 or more from the City of Tucson in a single calendar year will be issued a 1099-MISC for miscellaneous income.

Find a Qualifying Product

MaP Premium High-efficiency Toilets are certified as WaterSense-compliant. They effectively flush 1.1 gallons per flush or less, and dual-flush models have a maximum flush of 1.28 gallons per flush or less. These toilets have a high flush performance score, achieving at least a 600 gram solid waste removal performance threshold.
