Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the rebate on my pre-approval different from the one calculated during the post-installation site visit?

The pre-approval rebate amount is estimated based on measurements entered at that time. Final rebate is based on system capacity and the measurements taken by Tucson Water staff during the post-install visit.

If during the inspection, it is determined that the storage capacity is not enough, customer can either accept rebate or accept a rebate denial and resubmit another pre-approval to expand the system and the get the full rebate amount. System must still be completed within the year.

How is the rebate calculated for customers that have already received a rebate and want to expand it later on?

Only new system features will be considered for an additional rebate. No additional rebate will be given on existing system features. The rebate will be calculated based on the total system capacity and remaining dollars available.
