La Pilita
La Pilita was built around 1945 and over the years has been a home, a restaurant, a youth center, and a museum. The mural on the side of the building, by Martin Moreno, is called "La Pilita" or "The Battery," and shows the history of the land and contains many traditional Mexican and Aztec symbols.

El Tiradito Wishing Shrine
This Historic Site is the only shrine in the United States dedicated to the soul of a sinner buried in unconsecrated ground. It is affectionately called "El Tiradito" -- the Castaway. The many legends about the shrine's origin all involve a tragic triangle love affair in the early 1870s. The mysterious powers of El Tiradito are still an important part of local Mexican lore and culture. This site is a Tucson Historical Site and it is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
Rosendo S. Perez
This park is named in honor of Rosendo S. Perez who led neighbors in saving the park area and who spearheaded the effort to get El Tiradito Wishing Shrine on the National Register of Historic Places.
