5-10-25 Household Hazardous Waste Community Collection Event

Bring your hazardous chemicals and household products to our main location at Los Reales or attend one of our monthly drop-off events held the second Saturday of each month. This event is scheduled for 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.

During these events, paper shredding is offered. Limit three boxes.

Program is free to residents of the City of Tucson. Residents from Marana, Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and unincorporated Pima County will be charged a $10 fee. To prove residency, you must show drivers license or current utility bill.

Please note, the Saturday HHW Community Collection events will be taking a break during the summer and will return on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Pima Community College East from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

City of Tucson residents drop off their materials at the monthly Saturday events, as well as at the Los Reales Sustainability Campus HHW Drop-Off on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program is a community initiative designed to prevent the improper disposal of hazardous materials that could contaminate our environment if landfilled. Through this program, residents are encouraged to bring their household hazardous waste, such as chemicals, batteries, electronics, and paint, to designated collection sites each month or to the Los Reales Sustainability Campus during drop-off hours. Trained professionals then safely handle and dispose of these materials in an environmentally responsible manner, often through recycling, treatment, or specialized disposal methods. By diverting hazardous waste from landfills, the program helps protect ecosystems, water sources, and public health, promoting a cleaner and safer environment for all.
