Last Alarm June 13,2020
After 21 years of service with the Tucson Fire Department, Captain deHaro passed away June 13, 2020 after a two-year long and courageous battle against occupational lung cancer. Spending her entire career in the Operations Bureau, Captain deHaro embodied the definition of public servant, was a career long promoter of women in the fire service and spent many summers volunteering at Camp Fury – a joint venture summer camp with the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona introducing young women to jobs in the typically male dominated fields of public safety.
Captain deHaro is survived by her wife and daughter.
